MLA Citation Guides Online

Modern Language Association (MLA) style is most commonly used to write papers and cite sources in the Liberal Arts and Humanities. The library has multiple copies of the most recent 8th edition of the MLA Handbook available at the second floor Reference desk.

APA Publication Manual

APA (American Psychological Association) style is most commonly used to cite sources within the sciences and social sciences. Multiple copies of the latest edition (7th ed.) of the APA Publication Manual are available at the reference desk on the second floor of the library.

The following online sources provide APA guidelines on research paper format, citations, in-text citations and the reference page. Although these online sources provide guidelines based on the APA Publication Manual, refer to the actual published APA Publication Manual for accurate and precise formatting.
