Integrating Library eResources into Teaching & Learning

This guide describes how to create persistent links in your learning management system or course materials to the Libraries' e-content such online databases, online periodicals, specific articles in online periodicals, e-books, and streaming videos.

Linking to Databses

You may provide direct links in Canvas or course materials to our electronic databases such as Academic Search Premier, Medline, PsychInfo, Business Source Premier, etc. This will allow students to go into our databases and perform searches. When a student clicks on the link from off campus they will be prompted to enter their MEID and password information to access the database.

From the list of Databases on the Library’s database page, www.mesacc.edu/library/eresources, right click on the title of the database.

Select “Copy Link Location” (in Mozilla) and paste the link where you need to. For IE select “Copy Shortcut,” for Google Chrome select “Copy link address,” and for Safari select “Copy Link.”
