A Digital Object Identifier is a unique alphanumeric string assigned by the International DOI foundation to identify content and provide a persistent link to its content on the internet.

How do you resolve a DOI number?
If you want to find the article or content attached to a DOI number, visit the 'Resolve a DOI Name" page:
Type in the entire DOI including characters. This will take you to the web source associated with the DOI.
APA (American Psychological Association) style is most commonly used to cite sources within the sciences and social sciences. Multiple copies of the latest edition (7th ed.) of the APA Publication Manual are available at the reference desk on the second floor of the library.
The following online sources provide APA guidelines on research paper format, citations, in-text citations and the reference page. Although these online sources provide guidelines based on the APA Publication Manual, refer to the actual published APA Publication Manual for accurate and precise formatting.
