Coming Spring 2021!

Using Respondus Lockdown Browser to take tests.

If a student needs to take a test using the Respondus Lockdown Browser on a Chromebook checked out from the MCC Library, the computer needs to be put in Kiosk mode.  Luckily Library staff can do this remotely with a few simple steps.

  • Student sends an email to respondus@mesacc.edu that includes:

    • date and time they wish to take the test;
    • 6-digit tag number on the bottom of the computer.

  • When the machine asks for the student's institution, they need to type Maricopa Community Colleges.

  • When done taking the test, student emails respondus@mesacc.edu again so Kiosk mode can be turned off and the student can go back to using the computer like normal.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

The webcam feature is not supported on the HP Chromebooks.
