The MCC Libraries subscribe to a variety of dance related periodicals (journals and magazines) both in print and online. To access online periodicals, an MEID and password is required. Print journals are located on the third floor of the library. Search Journal Finder to determine which titles the MCC Libraries subscribe to; select titles are listed below:

There are a couple of methods for searching newspapers via the Library's e-resources. 

Method 1: One Search Newspapers Filter

• Start at MCC Library One Search

• Enter your keywords. For example, "martha's vineyard" and dance
• Hit Search
• Your initial search results will not include newspapers. To switch to newspaper results, look at the bottom of the results list and find the option newspapers search. Select this option. 
• Your results will refresh to display newspaper results. This search will now exclude all other source types. 

Be sure to utilize the left-hand "Refine Your Results" column, to set a date limiter for your newspaper results if needed. After adjusting date, hit Refine and your results will update. 

Method 2: Newspaper Databases

• Start at MCC Library Databases A-Z List
• Open the drop-down menu for Type and select Newspapers
• Press the blue Search button to update list
• This will show the title and description for all of the library's Newspaper databases and e-resources

How to find the New York Times

• Start at MCC Library Databases A-Z List
• Open the drop-down menu for Type and select Newspapers
• Press the blue Search button to update list
• Scroll down to find the database titled U.S. Major Dailies
• Once you are logged in to the database
  • Click the tab for publications
  • In the publication search bar type New York Times
  • Select the option that reads New York Times, Late Edition (East Coast); New York, N.Y. (Full text available)
  • From the next screen you can keyword search the New York Times holdings & also scroll down to select a specific issue to view
