Welcome to the MCC Libraries!

We are here to support you as a student at MCC whether you’re taking one course or a full load of courses. This guide is here to help you get to know your library and all the services and resources available to you! We have two beautiful libraries with all the resources you need to succeed along with friendly folks ready to help you - come check us out! View Library Hours & Locations

The MCC Libraries each offer study rooms for student use. The Southern & Dobson Library has 21 study rooms and the Red Mountain Library has 6 study rooms. Study rooms must be reserved through our Thunderdibs reservation system. 

• The MCC library study rooms are reservable by current MCC students only - MEID required.
• Study rooms can be reserved up to 21 days in advance, with a maximum of 16 hours per week.  
• Be sure to check in to your reserved study room within 15 minutes of your reserved start time.

Both of the MCC Libraries provide a variety of spaces including outdoor patios, soft seating, computing, larger tables and chairs for group work, and more. Come on in and make yourself at home!

Course reserves are housed at the circulation/check out desks at both of the MCC Libraries. This collection includes a variety of items placed on reserve by your instructor which may include supplemental reading, media, anatomical models, and textbooks. The MCC Libraries do not have every course textbook available in our collections, but we do have many of the textbooks used in core courses including math, biology, chemistry, psychology, and more.

Please ask at one of the library service desks and we can check if your textbook is on reserve in the library. Most course reserves are only available for in library use for 2-3 hours.

The MCC Libraries offer a variety of device check outs for students. Here are a few:

• Wifi hotspots
• Graphing calculators

All devices are first come first serve.

Need to charge your phone or did you forget your headphones? The library provides a variety of chargers for apple and android products and disposable headphones and ear plugs. We also provide a variety of school and office supplies so please ask at a service desk for help.
