Library Databases

MCC subscribes to over 150 databases that provide access to a variety of information sources including books, reports, videos, images and articles from journals, magazines and news sources. Click HERE to view the A-Z list of MCC's library databases. The databases listed below will be your best resources for researching the holocaust (off-campus access requires an MEID and password).

Academic OneFile (Gale)
Includes peer-reviewed, full-text, scholarly content across all academic disciplines.
Academic Search Premier
The largest academic database with over 4000 full text peer-reviewed scholarly journals covering all academic disciplines.
Ethnic NewsWatch
Full-text newspapers, magazines, and journals from ethnic, minority, and independent presses.
Films on Demand
Documentaries and educational videos covering a broad range of academic disciplines. Access entire films or film clips.
Chrome is the preferred browser for accessing streaming content. When embedding streaming video to a Canvas course or other platform, we suggest that you always include in the permalink/URL in addition to the embed code. This best practice gives your students an alternative method of access in the event the embedded media is blocked. History reference database featuring reference books, journals, primary source documents, biographies, photos, maps, and video.
JSTOR Arts & Sciences I Current Collection
A digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources covering arts, education, sciences, social sciences, and humanities.
PsycARTICLES
Provides current, full-text psychology, behavior, and social science academic journal articles. Explore psychological perspectives and consequences of holocaust survivors.
Religion and Philosophy (Gale OneFile)
More than 200 magazines and academic journals covering religion and the related areas of philosophy and anthropology. Researchers can use this database not only to study theological approaches to social issues, but also to learn about the impact that religion has had on culture throughout history, including literature, arts, and language.
College (Gale In Context)
Provides cross-curricular content aligned to national and state curriculum standards and reinforces the development of skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation.
